Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Digital Homewatch Florida is operated by Digital Homewatch LLC, Bonita Springs, Florida ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when we monitor your home and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, username and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Contacts you give us: names, phone numbers and email addresses of the people we should reach, and the order to call them in.
- Your property: its address, map coordinates and time zone.
- Monitoring data from the equipment at your home: sensor readings (for example water, temperature, humidity, smoke and carbon monoxide), device and battery status, and alerts.
- Camera data: short video clips recorded when a camera detects motion (these may include sound), live view sessions, and a log of who watched and when. Our staff can only view your cameras after you approve their request, and every view is logged for you to see.
- Service records: requests and messages between you and us, visit reports and photos our technicians take at your property, and your plan.
- Notification settings, including whether and when you agreed to receive text alerts.
How we use it
To monitor your home, alert you and the contacts you chose, send technicians, answer your requests, and run and improve our service. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages
If you opt in, we text urgent alerts to the contact you chose. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the providers that deliver the messages for us. Details are in our SMS terms.
Who helps us run the service
We share only what each provider needs to do its job for us:
- DigitalOcean: hosts our servers and database in the United States.
- Twilio: delivers text messages.
- Google Workspace and Resend: send and receive our email.
- Apple, Google and Mozilla push services: deliver notifications to your phone or browser.
- Open-Meteo: receives your home's coordinates to provide local weather.
- US Census Bureau geocoder: checks the street address you enter.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect a person's safety.
How long we keep it
Camera clips are deleted automatically after 30 days by default; you can change this period in your settings. Other information is kept while you are a customer and for 12 months afterwards, unless the law requires longer.
Security
Connections to our services are encrypted. Camera passwords are stored encrypted, and staff access to your cameras requires your approval. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can update your contacts and settings in the customer portal, switch off text or push notifications at any time, and ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. If you live in the European Union, you have these rights under the GDPR as well. Contact us at support@digitalhomewatchflorida.com.
Children
Our service is for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13.

We will post any changes on this page with a new date.
